In my third pregnancy, I knew I needed to be super intentional about planning a postpartum that resonated with my needs as a mum of three. With two children already, there was no way postpartum slowness and quietness was going to show up by itself!
I hadn’t had a doula in previous postpartums but was very keen to have someone enter our space and help us land gently after having our baby. I always feel very fragile and vulnerable after having babies, and I wasn’t going to settle for just any doula, as whoever was to enter our space needed to make me feel at ease in their presence and without the need for me to be someone I’m not.
When I met Caitlin, I knew that she was perfect for our family. She was gentle and warm, confident but tender and was perceptive to the vibe of the conversations and the room whenever she was around.
Caitlin helped me to regather the stillness and slowness of postpartum whenever she was with us, feeding me with beautiful warm drinks and serving me nourishing meals and snacks. Her presence embodied “IVE got this, please go and sit/lay down!”.
When she came over, we were the ones who felt hosted. Her support with household tasks always felt like no bother to her, she included our other children in her care, and my partner also got lots out of talking to her about the transition to three kids, navigating work balance and finding his feet as a dad.
Caitlin truly is one of those rare gems that make you just so grateful to have ever met her.

Caitlin is divine. I have always envisioned having a doula during this time and Caitlin was everything I dreamed and more.
She was such a lovely presence to have around and I felt so doted on and looked after. Every week she would come with the most beautiful and thoughtfully prepared food, she held space for me to chat about anything, she provided beautiful rituals like foot baths and moxibustion that made me feel cared for, and she was an extra pair of hands for anything I needed.
My pregnancy and birth story was far from straight forward and I really grieved the loss of the experience I had imagined. Caitlin helped keep some of the beauty of the postnatal experience alive for me, and for that I am eternally grateful.
I would encourage everyone to have a postnatal doula. It is such a transformative time and the value of having someone to help and hold you in that space cannot be overstated.

I decided that a postpartum doula would be great for me, because my first postpartum experience was incredibly hard. So I wanted to ensure that this time round I had support in place to provide me with the experience I envisioned for myself.
Having a doula was absolutely amazing and I’ve recommended having one to my friends that are currently pregnant.
I loved knowing that Caitlin would be here once a week and that I would have someone to talk to who understood what I was going through. Someone I could vent to and debrief on the week. Someone to just listen with no judgement. The added bonus of being made a cup of tea, bringing delicious food and a relaxing foot massage each week was amazing.
I felt really comfortable during Caitlin’s visits, and it was so nice having someone coming round and taking care of me.
Every time Caitlin left I felt lighter and cared for. I felt seen, heard and ready to take on the week ahead.
If someone is thinking about hiring a doula I would say it’s one of the best things you can do to provide you with a comforting, nurturing and positive postpartum experience. I wholeheartedly recommend a doula. It made a special time even more so and I’m so happy I did it.

“More than anything, I felt genuinely supported. Caitlin created a safe, non-judgmental space for us to settle into life as a new family and offered thoughtful guidance when we needed it.”
With a partner who works an hour away from home and no idea how my birth or recovery would unfold, I knew having an extra set of hands in those early weeks would be invaluable. And Caitlin was a great help in navigating postnatal life with our first baby - she was part doula, part cheerleader, and I’ll always be thankful for that.
Her calm, kind and nurturing energy brought such comfort in a time that was full of change and adjustment. Every session was different, because she was always ready to help with whatever I needed - whether that was holding my baby so I could nap, cooking up some breakfast, folding laundry, or just having a gentle, supportive presence in the house. One of the most helpful services offered was the nourishing, home cooked meals Caitlin prepared. They were delicious, comforting, and perfectly tailored to postpartum needs.
More than anything, I felt genuinely supported. Caitlin created a safe, non-judgmental space for us to settle into life as a new family and offered thoughtful guidance when we needed it.
If you’re considering hiring a postnatal doula - do it. It’s a huge help to have someone so dedicated in your corner during those raw, early days. Caitlin’s support made such a meaningful difference, and I couldn’t recommend her more.

Like any first time mum I was so overwhelmed, clueless and sometimes lonely...I felt sooo lucky to have Caitlin.
Caitlin is generous, gentle, warm, and grounded. She has a very intuitive approach to motherhood which she radiates and you can tell she’s passionate about mums, motherhood and babies. She was everything I needed in postpartum and I was so grateful.
She supported me in so many ways - delicious nutritious treats perfect for recovery, company and listening, helping me with tasks like shopping or chemist runs, cuddling/changing my baby while I had a shower or put some washing on, or providing tips and tricks to make new motherhood easier while still feeling connected to bub. I truly felt hand in hand on my post partum journey.
