Hi, I’m Caitlin…
I'm a postpartum doula living, working and mothering on Bunurong Land in Melbourne's Bayside - and I am completely, unapologetically obsessed with looking after new mothers.
I came to this work through my own experience of becoming a mum. The birth of my first daughter Nola in 2019 cracked me open in ways I didn't expect, and I quickly realised how much the postpartum period is overlooked, underestimated and under-supported. My second daughter Essie confirmed it. I knew this was the work I was supposed to be doing.
I spent years in a fast-paced career before becoming a doula. What that gave me was the ability to read a room, think on my feet and show up prepared for anything. What it didn't give me was what I actually wanted: to do work that genuinely mattered. This does.
These days you'll find me near the beach with my partner Heath, pottering in the garden, cooking for people I love, and finding any excuse to be outside in the sun. I'm a big believer in the power of a good meal, an honest conversation and being genuinely present with someone when they need it most.
That's exactly what I bring to my work. I show up for mothers the way I wish someone had shown up for me — without agenda, without judgment, and with really good food.
This is your fourth trimester. Let me look after you.
